Wendy laughed, nervously. “Whichever one is lower to the ground, would be best!” It’s ironic that she would say such a thing, considering she’s been flying over the rooftops of London before and into the stars. But being on top of an animal just shook her the wrong way. Hopefully, after today, that little feeling will go away.

She walked with Eilonwy and asked her, “How long have you been riding horses?”  

She laughed “Well, they’re both pretty high, they are horses after all, but they’re really nice and will not let you fall, I assure you of that, Lluagor has always been like that, maybe you should take her, she has never let me fall and should not be starting now.”

“I’m actually not sure how long it has been, it just feels like a really long time and even so, it’s really not that hard as soon as you get used to it, so, let us go?” she said dragging her to the horses and pointing at on of them “That’s Lluagor” she pointed at another “and that one’s Melyngar, just look at how nice they look, they couldn’t possibly ever be mean to anyone.”

Excited and a bit frightened, Wendy walked up to Eilonwy’s kingdom. ‘You can do this.’ She told herself, ‘It’s just a horse! Horses aren’t that scary.’ Feeling her legs tremble a bit she shook her head. ‘Just. A. Horse.’ To get her mind on something else she began to think of the different stories she could tell that night. Pirates, Indians, princesses… Something good for a fun game of pretend.

She came closer and saw the outline of a young girl in the distance. “Eilonwy!” She shouted, “Hi!”

She’d been excited about this all day, she’d made them get Lluagor and Melyngar ready for her and Wendy to practice, she was determined to make the other girl stop fearing horses, after all, they were not such scary creatures as the Horned King’s cauldron borns.

She quickly got herself to the castle door and waited until she heard a shout from Wendy smiling happily “Hello there, so you’re ready to lose that silly fear of horses? I can assure you that Lluagor and Melyngar are both very nice and you get to pick which one you prefer.”

Ballerina? Oh that does sound awful! Mother sent me to ballet classes for a while and oh, dear, never again will I even try. No, no, no, no, no. I suppose you’re right. It would be wrong to take advantages of others. It would be funny to see their reactions, though! Only on people who I normally don’t like though, like Captain Hook! I’d mess with him all day if he didn’t know it was me! Oh! I’d love that! I think she’d have fun, too!

Yes, it was dreadful, I do not understand how can someone remotely enjoy that sort of thing, it’s even worse than just the princess stuff, truly, truly dreadful *shudders*

Well, I do not know of that Captain Hook but I suppose some things could be fun with the Horned King if I ever felt like bothering myself with him, he’s such an old pile of bones that I somehow think wasting time I could use practicing with my bow with him can never be a good idea.

It’s good that you’re trying to make the most of it! I can imaging if this happened to others they would just sit and be depressed. You know what I would do, I would mess around with everyone who didn’t know it was me! Play tricks on them and laugh! 

So it’s settled! I’ll teach you how to play pretend, and you’ll teach me to ride a horse? *smiles and extends hand for a handshake*

I see no reason to just sit and be depressed about it, it’s not gonna go away faster that way and really, being turned into a ballerina was way worst, at least with this I am able to move without feeling any pain.

*giggles at the thought of playing tricks on people* But I couldn’t, that would be rude of me and just because they would not recognize me it doesn’t mean that I shouldn’t take advantage of that, that would be like using magic for that sort of tricks, it’s just not right for the others.

Yes, it’s most definitely settled *shakes her hand* And I am sure it will be fun, we could even try to get Lluagor to play pretend, no? Maybe she would think it fun.

I agree. My favorite thing to wear is my nightgown. Its so soft and comfortable. Plus, it matches my eyes! And I have a perfect little blue bow with it and everything!

You’ve never played pretend?! Well, we’ll have to play some day, won’t we? It’s best to play while telling/hearing a story! You might feel silly at first, but that’s what it’s all about! 

Do be excited, I’m sure it’ll be quite fun. Oh yes she is and I love her dearly. She was really Adaon’s horse but this not the books so I’m keeping that out.

My favorite would be anything that doesn’t get in the way, I was rather fond of a certain white dress but it’s a bit thorn and I am not supposed to be wearing it around the palace because it would not be proper for a princess since they care so much about that.

Oh, I have no problems with being silly *giggles* If you ask me this whole being a boy thing is silly, I’m just trying to make the most of it since there are actually advantages to it and I don’t have to casually go out for some flowers and happen to get lost in the forest the whole afternoon because there are no flowers around in Winter so I can go for stroll there. But it is strange to be someone you’re not, like fitting in the wrong shoe, although I suppose I should try it if you’re going to try to ride a horse.

Oh, I’d chose a cotton dress over a full suit of armor any day. The only time I’ll even wear a little bit of armor is if I’m telling a story. Or one of my brothers will. *Laughs* It’s quite fun, actually. Acting out the stories. Have you ever played pretend before?

Yes! That does sound like it could be great fun, we should really try to do that someday! And you’d lose that silly fear of horses, they’re some really nice creatures you know? Lluagor’s such a lovely horse.

If I was able to chose I would not pick any of those, they’re both quite terrible and for the same reason, I do wonder what’s with all the uncomfortable clothing, people are supposed to be able to move, there is no reason to have clothes limiting it, that’s like binding the wings of a bird before he even has started learning to fly.

And no, I don’t think I’ve played… pretend?

I have to say I will miss some things about this.

Wow… riding a horse by yourself? I could never do that! Why, I’ve never ridden a horse ever! I’d be scared out of my mind. And as far as clothes go… I have to admit, I love dresses! Though, they are unbelievably hard to fly in! Armor? Like, a full suit of armor? Was it heavy?
